Sharon Baptiste-Johnson holds a B.A in English and is certified both through NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine) as a personal trainer and by the USA Weightlifting Club. She is a certified group-exercise instructor, teaching various classes from spinning, BOSU conditioning, circuit training, water aerobics, boxercise, abs and step. She coaches on the "platform" Olympic style weightlifting and holds a Pilates Mat qualification. She is also CPR and AED certified.


Born and raised in the United Kingdom, she is a former banker. Having become tired of the corporate world, she left in 2001 to pursue a full time career in fitness after teaching part-time aerobics classes for many years. Sharon was a soccer stand-out and 800 meter runner in college and she regularly competes in 10K, 10 mile and half-marathon races. In 2009 she won both the Frederick and Baltimore Masters(40+) Half-Marathon Titles and she was 4th in the Masters division at the prestigious Army 10 Miler.

She has lived in the United States for six years and s
he is very active in the community as a volunteer with various local groups. Sharon enjoys training people of all levels of fitness, including elite competitive athletes, beginners, kids and seniors.  She also works with the Department of Defense training active duty personnel, retirees, and civilians based at military installation in Frederick.
